Tools

Six custom tools for everyday use, five of them run entirely offline in your browser, one securely and anonymously queries an external service. Below you'll also find a collection of useful external tools from other providers.

Note: the feedback messages inside these tools (for example password strength labels) are currently still generated in German. Full translation of that part is coming step by step.

Password generator

Generate a random, secure password to your liking. It's created only in your browser and never stored anywhere.

Phishing text check

Paste the text of a suspicious message. The tool looks for typical warning signs like time pressure and threats.

One external query, more on that below

Password leak check

Check whether a password has already appeared in a known data breach. The check uses the public Pwned Passwords service from Have I Been Pwned.

Your whole password is never sent. Your browser computes a hash and sends only the first 5 characters of it to the service. The actual password never leaves your computer.

PIN generator

Generate a random PIN in the length of your choice, for example for a new device, a card, or a lock.

Runs locally in the browser

QR code generator

Generate a QR code from text or a web address, directly in your browser, hand written with no external library.

Note

These tools don't replace professional advice

The tools give you a first assessment. If you have a concrete suspicion of fraud, also contact your bank or an official reporting authority. Of the six tools above, only the password leak check makes an external connection, the other five run entirely offline in your browser.
